Director’s Note
Welcome!
The Richardson Community Chorale is proud to present our 2022 Spring Concert, Peace and Love, and we’re so excited to have you here with us. We’ve been hard at work these past few months preparing for our first in person RCC concert since December 5th, 2019. It’s been wonderful being back in person and singing together!
The pandemic brought our live performances to a halt, as it did for many arts organizations. However, with the help of our amazing RCC Board we were able to present a virtual spring concert last season, We Are One. I could not be more thankful for this amazing group of singers who serve on our board. They have been an integral part of making sure the RCC continues with our mission to Sing For Joy as we help to make Richardson a singing city.
We returned to live singing once again this past fall when we performed with the Richardson Symphony for their Holiday Classics Concert. What an incredible experience to perform with the amazing musicians of the RSO.
At tonight’s concert you’ll enjoy a wide variety of musical genres including rock and roll, Broadway, ’60s pop, gospel music, madrigals and selections from the iconic setting of the Requiem text by Gabriel Fauré. All of these songs connect to our theme, Peace and Love, and we can’t wait for you to hear them.
Now, sit back, relax and enjoy the RCC’s performance of Peace and Love.
